Our handpicked suppliers value People and Planet
We pride ourselves on our product quality
We visit and handpick every single one of our factories and mills. We are meticulous about selecting our suppliers and only work with the ones that prioritize quality and durability. They’re perfectionists and innovators, and we like that (because we are too).
Made in Italy, our Back to Front Shirt Dress is designed to be versatile for work from anywhere. Crafted from the lightest wrinkle-free technical crepe, it's machine washable, can be worn 5 ways and perfect to bring wherever life takes you.
We choose suppliers that obsess about the small details, from checking every inch of fabric to completing wear and strength tests. We quality control all of our orders personally and we continue to test our pieces from the first sample to a fifth iteration of a best seller to ensure we always hold ourselves accountable, especially on the quality and versatility of a garment.
We conducted a worldwide search for the best fabrics and mills to work with. This search involved trusted recommendations from our existing partners, reputable innovators and sustainability pioneers as well as the various trade shows we visit.
We only work with suppliers who put their workers first
Before working with any supplier, we conduct extensive due diligence on their stance on both ethics and environment. Our due diligence consists of in person visits and conversations with both management and factory workers about their happiness, their hours, their pay and their safety.
Our suppliers are required to advocate for education and sustainable solutions to eradicate child labor within their local region. We ask that all our suppliers work to incorporate diversity and inclusivity into the workplace, starting with unbiased hiring practices.
We only partner with factories and mills that put their workers first. We make sure they offer regular training, on-site services, employee benefits, clean and sanitary working environments and more. We visit these suppliers regularly throughout our relationship to ensure their ethics and processes, as well as environmental footprint, are on par with our expectations, reviewing first hand how they support their employees.
Each supplier signs Commitments to People and Planet
Each supplier feels strongly about ethics and the environment, along with the happiness of their workers, something that matters deeply to us at Aday. We require each supplier to sign our Commitments to People and Planet. These Commitments demonstrate their commitment to high standards across manufacturing and taking care of workers and the environment, making each piece of Aday crafted with love and for the planet.
Each supplier operates well within the International Labor Organization’s conventions, there is absolutely no subcontracting and our suppliers are also required to advocate for education and sustainable solutions to eradicate child labor within their local region. We ask that all our suppliers work to incorporate diversity and inclusivity into the workplace, starting with unbiased hiring practices.
In addition, we ensure each supplier’s progressive approach to minimize negative impacts on the environment, as well as maintaining and continuously improving environmental policies and standards. They must maintain, measure and show evidence of intention to create a more sustainable future together, an environmental Management System and/or ISO14001 certification and monitoring of energy and natural resource usage, emissions, discharges, carbon footprint, and disposal of waste.
82% of our mills have water recycling and a purification process to clean and reuse water before disposing of it safely. This fabric mill in Como, Italy has their own biological water purification onsite, to clean the water before reusing it back into the production process. It creates the Technical Silk fabric used in our bestselling Something Borrowed Shirt.
