About
Who are you and what do you believe in?
We’re Aday, a female-led, mission driven brand on a mission to bring a new standard of clothing to your wardrobe through ease and innovation. We do that by creating capsule styles designed for outfit repeating. Sustainably made, each piece is crafted with innovative super fabrics to bring joy to your wardrobe. Work-to-weekend, zero-to-Zoom, your opportunities feel endless—and they’re loved around the world.
We aim to make a positive impact where we live and work. Our team is based worldwide, we’re diverse with an honest and optimistic culture. We work incredibly hard and are more motivated than ever to continue pushing the boundaries on sustainability and fabric innovation. Currently, 77% of our styles are made from sustainable materials (44% of fabrics from recycled materials and 33% are from natural fabrics and regenerated cellulose). Over 45% of our factories and mills generate a portion of their energy from renewable resources to make our pieces and we’re getting close to offsetting 100% of all our carbon emissions.
We were named one of the Most Innovative Companies in the World by Fast Company, a Forbes 30 under 30 company and have been featured in publications from Vogue to Refinery29.

What does quality mean to you?
The quality of our products is something we pride ourselves on. We visit and handpick every single one of our factories and mills. We are meticulous about selecting our suppliers and only work with the ones that prioritize quality and durability. We choose suppliers that obsess about the small details, from checking every inch of fabric to completing wear and strength tests. We quality control all of our orders personally and we continue to test our pieces from the first sample to a fifth iteration of a best seller to ensure we always hold ourselves accountable.
We are also very focused on the idea of cost per wear which is the price of a garment divided by the versatility + longevity of the piece. Globally, the average garment is worn 7 times before it is discarded (!!!). We’re working to increase that number. The average cost per wear of an Aday piece is 52 cents, that’s once a week for 5+ years.

How do I take care of my Aday pieces?
Taking care of your Aday items is as streamlined and innovative as our designs, bringing longevity and enjoyment to every piece in your wardrobe.
Here’s a straightforward guide on how to keep your pieces in impeccable condition:
- Always refer to the specific care instructions on the label of your piece before washing.
- Our pieces thrive with a "machine cold wash" approach. By washing at 30 degrees Celsius / 85 Fahrenheit or lower, you're not only ensuring the integrity of your garment but also saving over 2,000 pounds of CO2 per year compared to using hot water. It’s a win-win for your wardrobe and the planet.
- To maintain the shape and structure of your items, please avoid tumble drying. This process can reverse the bonding used in many of our pieces causing seams to break from reheating the glue. Additionally, it may reduce the lifespan due to fibers breaking and elastic warping from the rough tumbling action. Air drying is the way to go.
- Steer clear from fabric softeners, bleach, dry cleaning, and ironing to preserve the performance properties of our fabrics.
Adhering to these care instructions ensures your pieces remain as dynamic and versatile as the day you got them.
Can I tailor my Aday pieces?
Your Aday pieces can be tailored to achieve that perfect fit tailored just for you. To support this, we offer a 15 USD ($) tailoring credit per piece. Just take your Aday product to your favorite tailor, and once the alterations are done, send us a picture of your tailoring receipt. We’ll then send over a 15 USD ($) Aday gift card which you can apply towards your next purchase. However, it’s important to note that we do not accept returns on any pieces that have been tailored or otherwise altered. This ensures that every piece remains as pristine and authentic as designed, especially once it’s been customized to your liking.
For specific tailoring advice tailored to a particular piece, please don’t hesitate to reach out with the product name. We will consult our product team to provide the best guidance for your needs.

All items marked “Final Sale” are not eligible for returns, exchanges, or store credit. Final Sale is noted on the item product page on our website and in your cart.
What does it mean if an item is a final sale?

We ensure that "Final Sale" is clearly noted on the product page on our website and in your cart at checkout to keep our customers informed before they finalize their purchase.
We understand that certain situations might arise where further assistance is needed, especially if you received a damaged or incorrect item. In such cases, we're here to help. Your Aday reward points remain valid as long as your account maintains active status. An account is considered active if there's activity, such as shopping with us, within 12 months from your last date of purchase. Keeping your account active is a great way to continue enjoying the benefits and rewards we offer. If you have any further questions or need assistance with your account or rewards, we're here to help.
What happens if I leave Aday Rewards and then rejoin?
If you're considering leaving the Aday Rewards program and rejoining at a later time, it's important to note that your previously accumulated points and rewards might not carry over upon rejoining. Upon rejoining, you'd likely start from scratch with regards to accruing points and earning rewards.
What happens if I return an item that I used Aday Rewards points to purchase?
Once your return has successfully been processed, any Aday Rewards points used on that purchase will be returned to your account. Please note that all Gift Shop items are final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged.
What do the 'approved' 'pending' and 'canceled' statuses mean?
Approved: These points can be redeemed on rewards immediately.
Pending: These points need to be verified before you can redeem them. This typically applies to purchases and referrals.
Canceled: These points will not be added to your account. For example, this will happen if you cancel a purchase (the points will change from pending to canceled).
Supply Chain
Where and how do you manufacture your products?
We conducted a worldwide search—seriously—for the best suppliers to manufacture our pieces. We found fantastic teams to partner with in Portugal, the US, China, Turkey and Italy.
What makes them the best? They’re perfectionists and innovators, and we like that (because we are too). They also feel strongly about ethics and the environment, along with the happiness of their workers, something that matters deeply to us at Aday. We require each supplier to sign our Commitment to People (as well as our Commitment to Planet) contract, demonstrating their commitment to high standards across manufacturing and taking care of workers, making each piece of Aday crafted with love and for the planet.
How do you find and evaluate your suppliers?
We find our suppliers through trusted recommendations from our existing partners, reputable innovators and sustainability pioneers as well as the various trade shows we visit. Before working with any supplier, we conduct extensive due diligence on their stance on both ethics and environment. Our due diligence consists of in person visits and conversations with both management and factory workers about their happiness, their hours, their pay and their safety. If you have any questions about our suppliers, please ask us: hello@thisisaday.com
How do your suppliers support their workers?
We only partner with factories and mills that put their workers first. We make sure they offer regular training, on-site services, employee benefits, clean and sanitary working environments and more. We visit all our factories and mills before working with them, and throughout our relationships, reviewing first hand how they support their employees.
We require our factories and mills to sign our Commitment to People (as well as our Commitment to Planet) contract. The contract is in line with the International Labor Oganisation’s conventions, there is absolutely no subcontracting, discrimination or working above 60 hours per week, all overtime must be paid in a timely manner and at a premium rate. Our suppliers are required to advocate for education and sustainable solutions to eradicate child labor within their local region. We ask that all our suppliers work to incorporate diversity and inclusivity into the workplace, starting with unbiased hiring practices.
Sustainability
What does sustainability mean to Aday?
At Aday, we see sustainability as a baseline and apply sustainable practices at every stage of our process (from design right through to our logistics). For our partners, we only choose those that actively work on reducing the environmental impact of their processes, whether through energy-efficient or renewable energy manufacturing, reduced water consumption and reduced waste or waste recycling manufacturing.
We view sustainability as making products that are better for the environment and better for you. We want to make pieces you really want to wear. This is why we are very focused on the idea of cost per wear which is the price of a garment / the versatility + longevity of the piece. Globally, the average garment is worn 7 times before it is discarded (!!!). We’re working to increase that number. The average cost per wear of an Aday piece is 52 cents if you wear your Aday once a week for 5+ years.
Our Up In The Air Jacket, Like A Boss Sweatshirt, and Home Stretch Pullover styles are made with our custom-developed recycled scuba, made with REPREVE® polyester created from recycled post-consumer plastic. Our plant life basics are made from TENCEL™ Modal sourced from beechwood trees in a closed-loop production process - this means that no waste is generated from the production process, including materials, energy and water. For 2021, our product team is in the process of developing bio-based and recycled versions of our most popular fabrics. In 2019 and 2020, we began developing biodegradable packaging across all of our products. All of our pieces are “cold wash” which saves over 2,000 pounds of CO2 per year vs. hot wash — because every little bit counts, and we strongly believe in doing our part.
We don’t believe in replacing the content of our wardrobes every season. Instead, we strive to create comfortable, seasonless essentials that do more and last longer.
What are your products made from?
The vast majority of our fabrics are 'technical fabrics' which means they are vegan as they are manmade or derived from plants.
Our Better Knit and Seasonless Merino are responsibly sourced (cruelty-free) from animals. These materials include wool, recycled cashmere, and merino wool. Our fabric mills source from sheep in South Africa and Australia, both fabrics maintain the following certificates Non-mulesed, Global recycled Standard (GRS), Responsible Wool Standard (RWS). The fabric mill we partner with to make these fabrics is a Woolmark and Woolmark Blend Certified manufacturer. Our recycled cashmere is made from upcycled scraps from luxury fashion production straight from the factory floor.
Our goal is to continue discovering and developing fabrics that are long-lasting, super comfortable, and have the lowest impact on our planet.
Where do you source your fabrics and what certifications do your fabrics have?
Our fabrics are made in world-class mills in Italy, Taiwan, Turkey, and China. We visit these mills regularly to ensure their ethics and processes, as well as environmental footprint, are on par with our factories and company’s expectations.
When sourcing fabrics, we focus on sustainable, and long-lasting fabrics such as recycled, regenerated, biodegradable and bio-based fibers, renewable fabric manufacturing, eco-friendly dyeing and finishing, and innovative performance properties. In fact, 88% of our styles are made from recycled, regenerated and natural materials.
All of the fabrics we use are Bluesign® and/or OEKO-TEX® certified. This means when our fabrics are made, they do not leech harmful chemicals into the environment. Other certifications our fabrics hold are R.E.A.C.H., GRS-Global Recycled Standard, and Responsible Wool Standard (RWS).
R.E.A.C.H REACH is a European Union regulation concerning the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and restriction of Chemicals. R.E.A.C.H’s aim is to provide a high level of protection of human health and the environment from the use of chemicals. | Technical Silk pieces + Recycled Technical Silk pieces, Turn It Up pants, Layered Up leggings, Super Satin, and Easy Days pant |
GRS-Global Recycled Standard GRS verifies responsible social, environmental and chemical practices in the production of recycled content. GRS defines requirements to ensure accurate content claims and good working conditions, and that harmful environmental and chemical impacts are minimised. | Fast Forward Bra, Recycled Technical Silk, Super Satin |
Responsible Wool Standard (RWS) The Responsible Wool Standard addresses the best farming practices, welfare of sheep and the land they graze on. | |
TENCEL™ TENCEL™ branded lyocell and Modal fibers are produced by environmentally responsible processes from the sustainably sourced natural raw material wood. |
Are your synthetic fabrics sustainable? What about microplastics?
We use synthetics because of their superpowers and unique blends as fabrics, improving the longevity, durability and easy care of our products. We are also working on creating sustainable alternatives. Currently, 77% of our styles are made from sustainable materials (44% of fabrics from recycled materials and 33% are from natural fabrics and regenerated cellulose).
Regarding microplastics, we are focusing on sourcing more innovative alternatives that don’t shed microplastics. We have taken a number of steps to reduce the shed of microplastics. Our synthetics are made with continuous filament fibers, which help reduce the shed of microplastics due to the long fiber that doesn’t break or shed easily. Heat and continual abrasion further the shed of microplastics, therefore we recommend cold machine wash and no tumble drying (which also reduces CO2 emissions).
Lastly, we recommend using a laundry bag to wash your Aday, such as the Guppy Friend, which catches microfibers. Simple changes to washing can also help to reduce microplastics, including opting for cooler and faster cycles, aiming for full loads (less water helps to reduce the number of fibres released), avoiding delicate cycles as they use more water and washing clothes less.
Can you tell us about the chemicals used in the making of your clothing?
All of the fabrics we use are Bluesign® and/or OEKO-TEX® certified. This means when our fabrics are made, they do not leech harmful chemicals into the environment. For fabric finishing, 78% of our synthetic fabrics have no chemical finishing or they have an eco-finishing. Our bioWick finish is made from 100% plant seed oil and improves the wicking properties of your favorite Recycled Scuba pieces.
What fabric and performance properties does your clothing have?
All our fabrics are unique with their own properties, each individual product page will have the latest information. Here are some properties we look for in across all our fabrics:
Breathability
The fabric structure allows air to circulate between the fibers of our fabrics. The breathable qualities make you feel cooler and more hygienic. Breathability is the simplified term for moisture vapor transmission rate (MVTR), which is the measure of how quickly moisture passes through the fabric. The knit structure of our fabrics allows the direct passage of air through it and removes moisture vapor away from the body.
Easy care
All of our fabrics are easy care, which includes machine wash cold and hang dry. This also saves over 2,000 pounds of CO2 per year vs. washing in hot water. This low temperature wash / low abrasion method also helps preserve the longevity of your product as tumble drying can cause fibers to break and elastic to warp.
Wrinkle-Resistant
Our fabrics do not absorb water easily due to the type and blend of fibers, hence they have a natural resistance to wrinkles. The added elastane also helps as it wraps around the fibers allowing them to recover easily. We do not use chemical treatments to achieve wrinkle resistance, therefore our fabrics will respond slightly differently after washing or traveling. Make sure to hang your garments after to ensure the wrinkles fall out.
Quick Drying
As most of our fabrics have a fine knit structure and use man-made fibers, they do not absorb water easily and can spread the water out along the fine knit structure onto a larger surface providing more space for evaporation. This allows them to dry quickly as well as repel water, more so than conventional fabrics.
Moisture Wicking
Moisture-wicking quickly moves sweat to the fabric’s outer surface and dries rapidly so that sweat does not saturate the fabric. As a result, your body can regulate its temperature efficiently and the fabric touching your skin has a dry, non-sticky feel. Our fabrics move sweat through the structure of the fabric and like our quick-drying properties moves water along the knit structure and a larger surface area allowing the water to evaporate quickly.
Thermal
Our thermal fabrics have a brushed knit with a fleece handfeel on the inside and matte finish on the outside, mimicking fleece. The soft brushing process on the inside enhances the thermal insulation properties, it controls humidity, ensuring breathability and keeping the body temperature steady and keeps you warm.
Pilling resistant
Pilling happens when the surface of fabric experiences a lot of wear and tear and abrasion in a particular area. This is common in high pile fabrics (fleeces) or natural fabrics that have staple (short) fibers. The majority of our fabrics are continuous filament (long) fibers and high twist yarns which both reduce the pilling of the fabric, as they do not break easily over the surface of the fabric, making it hard for the surface to scuf and create bobbles. The other benefit of pilling resistance is the reduction of the shed of microfibers. For our natural fabrics or wool products, we advise using a fabric shaver once in a while to smooth the surface and reduce pilling.
UV protection
Due to the inherent fiber structure, density of the knit, unique construction and opaque microfibers, our fabric filters the sun’s UV rays. Our fabrics offer a high level of protection against the damaging effects of UV rays. Our fabrics with UV protection are UPF 50+, as seen in our Something Borrowed shirt, Dream Harder tank, Made It t-shirt, and technical silk products. Note: Laboratory tests are carried out according to the AS/NSZ 4399 standard.
Carbon Offsetting
What is a carbon offset?
An action or activity (e.g., reforestation, sequestration, or renewable energy) that reduces human-caused carbon dioxide emissions released into the atmosphere. Activities may include planting trees to help extract CO2 from the air, or utilizing energy from sources like wind farms to prevent further emissions from being released into the air.
Why should I care about reducing my carbon emissions + purchase a carbon offset?
We pass on 100% of your money to Cool Effect, a non-profit organization that works to reduce carbon pollution that causes climate change. Once received, a little over 90% of every dollar goes directly to fund the project with the remainder allocated to cover research costs, applicable project registration fees, and credit card charges. Money donated to Cool Effect will be used to support emission-reducing activities and initiatives such as reforestation, sequestration, or renewable energy investments. All projects are vetted to meet high industry standards and certifications.

What projects has Aday supported?
Native Alaskans Saving Lands
The native Alaskans have found a way to sustain the forests, its inhabitants and their community in a way that helps the forest. Read more here.
Renewable Energy Wind Turbines
When Mother Earth breaks wind, turbines generate renewable energy, supplying clean energy to thousands of Costa Rican families. This reduces both greenhouse gas emissions and the country’s reliance on fossil fuels. It also benefits the local economy by adding jobs and education. Read more here.
A Bearadise
This project protects an old growth spruce forest on the North Coast of Afognak Island in Alaska. It will sequester about 1.5 million tonnes of carbon dioxide equivalents over its 30-year life. Read more here.
Alto Mayo
Alto Mayo is a massive forest in Peru – its size is double that of NYC. This project preserves 450,000 acres of fertile land from deforestation, which is vital because trees do a tremendous job of removing CO2 from the atmosphere. While the Alto Mayo is a protected forest, it still faces deforestation threats. Through this project, resources have been deployed to aid the region. Read more here.
Biogas Digester + Clean Cook Cookstoves
In the countryside of Sichuan, China waste management is a huge problem, because it creates excessive levels of methane release, a greenhouse gas 25 times more potent than CO2. This project invests in this rural area by establishing biogas digesters which turn organic waste into a clean energy source that can be used by the people of the region. Read more here.
The Katingan Mentaya Project reduced over 7.5 mm tonnes of CO₂ each year by protecting and restoring 157,000 hectares of the peat swamp ecosystem, one of the largest remaining of its kind. Preservation of the peat swamp stabilizes water flows, prevents devastating peat fires, enriches soil nutrients, and provides clean water. Read more here.
How are my emissions calculated?
All flight calculations are based on Cool Effect’s flight calculator, which uses up-to-date EPA emission factor data and approximated flight lengths. We have worked closely with Cool Effect to make sure these calculations are as accurate as possible. The purpose of this calculator is to give you the correct information to make informed decisions about offsetting your travel.
Will I receive a donation certificate?
We appreciate your choice to offset your carbon emissions and, because of this, you will receive a certificate via email from Aday that documents your efforts to offset what you can’t already reduce. Still haven’t received it? Send us an email at hello@thisisaday.com.
Outfit Repeaters Challenge
OMG! What is the Outfit Repeater Challenge?
The Outfit Repeater Challenge started in 2020 as a way of promoting conscious consumption and showing how Aday can really be worn on repeat in so many different ways.
During the pandemic, we wanted to meet our customers where they were at - looking for value and quality items that were ultimately contributing to a greater good.
While this started off as an acquisition campaign (we launched ads that said “we’ll pay you to wear Aday on repeat”) the campaign actually turned out to be a big RTN play. Our existing community LOVE it.
How many challenges have there been?
This will be our 4th challenge!
How many participants?
In 2020, we had 70 participants. Last year, we had over 1000 across 2 challenges.
How does it work?
