Nice and light, it will layer under sweaters nicely but also be cute on its own for a sleek look. I was really hesitant to purchase this after reading the other reviews, but since: (1) I live in NH and have been awaiting any kind of warmer layer from ADAY, (2) ultimately have faith that ADAY keeps trying for its customers.... I started with the black (see that review) and then loved it so much I got the white. I do prefer the white. As for scratchy? I don't think so at all. If you've ever worn Smartwool or other base layer 150 wt merino, it's like that, prob actually a bit softer.
NOTE: the description DOES SAY it's "semi-transparent" so perhaps folks commenting on its sheer-ness didn't see that. I wear a cami underneath and it's perfect. Super classy, in my opinion, and goes with every ADAY bottom I have (esp love it with the Tailor Mades... RIP.. btw ADAY please bring those back in black...).
Disclaimer: I'm tall, long torso, narrow hip. So like basically anything I purchase, I did tailor this in a wee bit at the bottom to fit my frame. Took 5 min and even if you're only 2 out of those 3 you prob won't need to do that.

I love Aday and have a lot of different pieces. I generally love the fabrics. I would personally give this one a miss. It is extremely scratchy wool. It’s more sheer than in the pictures (although they do acknowledge that it is sheer in the product description, you could fully see my nude bra beneath the white top). And it is very fitted - which I overall appreciate but the arms are bordering on being too tight. I don’t even know if I would say size up (I usually wear a Small, size up to a Medium where it’s recommended e.g. with the bamboo tank tops) - and the Small here fits in the torso but the arms feel like they aren’t adjusting right. With so many great Aday products, I would spend my money elsewhere.
